Hey guys so every once in awhile I get a weird quick zap feeling in head which I believe to be a brain zap just out of curiosity does anyone know what causes these and if they are dangerous in any way?

I got them constantly when I was weaning myself off of the devil drug Effexor.

I was going to ask if you were on any SSRI or such. Those can cause brain zaps.
Daviezmom, ME TOO!! The drug was wonderful for my anxiety, but when I went to go off of it, OH MAN!! Horrible.

OMG NIGHTMARE!!!  You're right, it was excellent for controlling my anxiety, but if I'd miss a dose, I was sick all day!  I had to stop taking it when I got pregnant, and it was the worst thing ever!  Eventually my doctor had me alternate between Prozac and Effexor to help with the side effects, which helps tremendously!  Effexor shouldn't be allowed on the market.

I've had several, and I have never been told they are dangerous.

Even though they may feel scary, I don't believe they are dangerous.

I know, and I can imagine people who were on high doses or on it for many years, UGH!.
