I posted before on this but still wonder. For me awareness of hynagogia came about literally one evening a month and a half ago when I had repeated occurrences of it before falling asleep. Since then I'm focusing on it a lot.
BTW, after a severe anxiety episode last year, I was doing great for 3 or so months. Then I took my first trip in years. The trip was fine but coincidentally this hypnogogic thing started a few days after I got back. Don't see why there would be a connection.
I've tried the radio and that helps and has reduced the pre-falling asleep hypnagia somewhat. But I am waking up every morning at 3:30 now and try to not think anything to keep from going into the hynagogia. It still happens though between 3:30 and when I get up at 5:30.
Will this ever go away? Why did I suddenly notice it come on? I do recall random eps of this in the past but it was rare and I guess I didn't pay much attention to it. I've also had the sleep paralysis thing rarely in the past too but never thought anything of it.
