Lymph nodes?
« on: January 15, 2014, 09:16:53 PM »
So I am in the midst of some breast cancer fears and have been self checking for lumps and bumps like crazy!! I have found a few bumps above my breast, next to my armpit. They are squishy and mobile - but tender to the touch. Are these lymph nodes? Does these mean I potentially have breast cancer that spread?? My entire chest area on the left side is sore from constant poking and prodding, I'm just so scared!

I think this is pretty normal.  I am 29 female, and I can find little tender nodes near my armpits also.  I just asked my partner, and she has them as well.  I doubt we all three have breast cancer!  Since I have HA and she doesn't, when I find a sore spot on my body I check to see if it is a sore spot on hers as well, and 99.9% of the time it is.  My Dr said it has to do with pressure points and sore muscles, and some lymph areas are just prone to tenderness, such as the area between your collar bones and your breasts.
