Sense of taste
« on: January 14, 2014, 03:47:48 PM »
My taste buds seem to be dimmed a bit. I can still taste a little bit. My sense of smell is fine. I am worried I have a tumor... Has anyone else had this?

I have the same trouble but also have the sense of smell impaired too which I was concerned about. Do you have a sore throat too or is it just your taste? Taste can lack for several reasons but the least likely would be a tumour so try not to think that I know it's hard because I did think that. After goin a year with neither sense and getting more and more depressed I was refered to a ent specialist initially to check for polyps but turns out I have severe allergies which inflames he nose and throat. I can't remember the statistics but majority of what you taste you smell first. I am allergic so several types of dust mites, cats and dogs. I have a nasal spray which helps the inflammation but I still have bad days especially recently with it be cold out and no circulation in the house. What I'm trying to say before my tangent lol is it's most likely allergies what I would do is see how you go for the next / weeks and if no better see a doctor but the fact u said u can Tate some things is a good sign ;)
