Could very easily be sinus drainage causing the weird taste in your mouth.....

Do you have any other symptoms? I have reflux disease and I often have a bad taste in my mouth, especially in the morning.

It could also be dental related.

I don't think it's anything serious. At worse annoying.

Having a bitter taste in your mouth is caused by anxiety... it's due to the excess adrenaline. I have had this, along with many others.

Anxiety or sinus drainage will both cause it.

To helo get rid of it, in addition to brushing your teeth, get a tongue scraper and use it daily.  You'll be amazed at how much gunk it gets rid of.  Then finish off with some nice Listerene and that will also help.
