MRI and Brain tumor
« on: January 13, 2014, 12:16:54 PM »
If I had an MRI to check for MS, does it go without saying that they would have looked for a brain tumor as well?

Yes - if you had an MRI of the brain, they would be able to tell if you had any tumors of any kind.

I know this because that's what my Neurologist told me when he gave me the results of my MRI (the purpose was to look for MS) - no MS and no tumors.

They look for what the doctor tells them to look for, but a radiologist would also note any other abnormalities as well.
