Cyst suddenly getting bigger/painful
« on: January 13, 2014, 08:04:41 AM »
Hi everyone. So I've had a ball-like cyst in my jaw for years now. It was sort of big when I got it, and it eventually shrunk down and stuck around as a small painless ball in my jaw. I saw a dentist about it at the time who said it was likely a cyst and said it didn't have any pressing need for removal. I've been getting xrays of my jaw for years now, and my dentist has never seen anything peculiar in them (as early as a couple months ago, when I asked her to check the side the cyst was on specifically as well). Suddenly this morning, it's painful to the touch and bigger. I'm really freaking out here. I've been having brain tumor/problem anxiety lately, and this isn't helping (I have an ice pick headache above my left ear that's making it worse too)! My parents said not to worry and that they'll take me to the dentist, but I'm freaking out :(( Anyone have experience with this?
