Please help me! :( strong MS fears!
« on: January 12, 2014, 06:38:26 AM »
I have just had a relapse in my anxiety and OCD and have endured a med increase.

I am experiencing the following symptoms:
- surges through my body from head down (I've noticed my breathing changes a little and I can calm it down)
- itching/tingling in fingers and toes (sometimes when I itch it does relieve it)
- weakness in left leg
- jerks over body mostly legs
- tingling in left side of face
- unsteadiness on feet causing muscles to spasm. This happens on slippery surfaces for eg. Supermarket

I do have the following conditions:
- grade 2 torn hamstring on left leg
- knots in rhomboid muscle in left shoulder
- knot in upper trap on left side

I really don't want to go through an MRI. Does this sound like anxiety?
At what point would you go to see a neuro? I had an increase almost 3 weeks ago.

We, of course, can't decide for you. A neuro can't hurt. But a therapist may be just as advisable, or more so. The key is "a relapse in my anxiety and OCD."

Anxiety comes up with all kinds of symptoms. How you will deal with the anxiety is the primary question, at least in my mind. It may take a little time for increased meds to help. Maybe CBT, maybe exercise, maybe meditation can help. Wishing you all the best, keep us posted.
