Can you be stressed and not know it?
« on: January 10, 2014, 05:20:38 PM »
Can your body be stressed and you not know it? I don't really feel like anything is really weighing on me, but I do keep problems to myself and do suppress them. Could I have done this so much my body is constantly stressed out? Could my fears of failure and constant nervousness be hurting me subconsciously?

When you have anxiety, you tense up without noticing. This can cause severe pain. Like the night I found out I had a mitral valve prolapse. My heart felt odd because thats what it does. Pain started to rapidly shoot through my chest, back and arm.

My prolapse is not severe enough to cause pain. It was all generated due to phyiscal stress. I tensed up so much that I was sore for days after. I had no idea that I was doing it in response to the odd sensations.

I just feel this strange lightheadedness. Im not going to faint, it just feels funny. Bloodwork is fine, ekg is good, BP is good. Im sure its anxiety related but I wanted to know if anxiety could be a subconscious thing as well. When I do breathing exercises, I calm down and feel better.
