Can anxiety raise your body temperature?
« on: January 03, 2014, 04:05:53 PM »
I'm horrible at flying. I hate it. I've been traveling today and my temperature has ranged from normal to 99.0 (taken under my arm and said 98.0 and I added a degree)??? I'm freaking out about the rise in temperature. I am stressed right now as I fear flying and I just left all of my extended family back in Detroit. So can stress and anxiety raise your body temperature to 99.0???

Can anxiety raise your body temperature?

Yes...When I am anxious I usually have between 36.9-37.2C.

Btw you said you added a degree. I have between 36.9-37.2C. when anxious,  when I measure under arm and I add nothing. ;)

I've been freaking out since Sunday morning when I got water up my nose in the shower. I have convinced myself that I have a brain eating amoeba now, so add the higher temperature to this as well and I'm freaking out.
