Chest Pressure- Angina?
« on: January 03, 2014, 12:07:16 PM »
I've been having recent issues with chest pressure. It will literally feel like some one is pressing down on my chest [not the center of my chest but above it], like they are pushing on the inside of it. It's not center chest pressure but it's squeezing almost and it happens periodically throughout my day. I could be doing something random and it just happens, it has for months. It goes away sometimes for periods of time and then comes back. It doesn't make me short of breath but it gets worse when I inhale deeply, it feels like my muscles are going to clench up when I do that. It stops after about 3-5 minutes. Today, it's come with stomach pain but my stomach has been having issues throughout the day...so I'm going to assume that's another issue. The pressure goes into my upper back at times and it's pretty scary. :( I need clarification before I go crazy. Help?

UPDATE: I get chest aches and nausea with eating and my stomach hurts after eating as well. I fear heart issues are the cause of this. When I do get dizzy, it's brief but feels like the room around me is spinning. :( I need help.

The fact that the pain gets worse when you breath makes it sound muscular to me.

Last time I saw the cardiologist (November 2012) she told me the time to worry is when you have a shortness or breath that is out of proportion with the activity you're doing and chest pain that doesn't go away no matter what position you try.

If it get's worse after you eat it sounds like it's probably acid reflux. try a tum after you eat and see how you feel, I bet there will be some relief.
