Hi Chris123456789,

Welcome to the group . . . different folks with anxiety have different symptoms . . . . because of the limited information and I am not a med professional, my first instinct is to recommend that you see a med professional . . . . have you been diagnosed with anxiety? have you had a medical check up? There really is no "one size fits all" approach for everyone as we all have different experiences and backgrounds . . . . perhaps if you could let us know a bit more background . . . .for example, did something happen and then you started having these symptoms? etc.

You only have to give information that you feel comfortable in giving . . . we will always do our best to support you in any way we can so don't feel that you need to tell us anything that you don't want us to know . . . .even though I haven't been much help this time around, hope you will return and keep us updated and become an active part of our community ---- we are really nice supportive people here    :action-smiley-065:

Take care, kc

Hi,

I have been diagnosed Panic/GAD

I have a long history:

#################################
###### My anxiety profile:#######
#################################

-------------------------------
My Sensations Which Dont Scare Me
-------------------------------
## Increased heart rate, palpitations, heart ‘bumps’
## Feeling sick
## Stomach’s churning ... ie butterflies

## Feeling short of breath or difficulty to take a deep breath .......
## Increased sweating
## Numb face, Tight Band
## Need to use toilet more regularly (urination and defecation) .......
--------------------------------

-------------------------------
My Sensations Which Do Scare Me
-------------------------------
## Feeling dizzy, unstable
## Loud Noises
## Feeling lightheaded or faint
## Feeling like you are ‘losing your mind’
## Feeling cold or hot
## Trembling or shakiness – Only In My shoulders mainly
## Derealization - Grey Veil ... Behind Glass
## Depersonalization - Disconnected from my arms and legs
-----------------------------------

I'm not a medical professional, and I also think you need to ask a doctor about this, if you haven't already.  It could be something serious.
However, it sounds like something I have, orthostasis (low blood pressure).  It happens after I stand up suddenly at times.  I've always had it, but it is increased by use of Lexapro and some other medications.  I don't experience much tingling when it happens, though.
Again, I think you really need to talk to a doctor if you haven't already.

Update:

How Often Do I get these any more?
Rarely ... Because they Do Not Scare Me
--------------------------------

## Trembling or shakiness – Only In My shoulders mainly
## Derealization - Grey Veil ... Behind Glass
## Depersonalization - Disconnected from my arms and legs
## Headaches - Insomnia

I only have 9 Fears left to remove

How Often Do I get these?
Often... Because they Scare Me
-----------------------------------

Thinks I can do:

Another Look at My Sensations Which Do Scare Me

Excitement and Fear are caused by Identical Chemicals

-------------------------------
Excitement can be explained for all of these:
-------------------------------
## Feeling Giddy, unstable -------------------------------- Actually This Doesn't Scare Me Very Much - This Is Excitement
## Loud Noises -------------------------------------------- An Example of Excitement Keening your senses
## Feeling lightheaded or faint --------------------------- Actually This Doesn't Scare me, It's Impossible To Faint
## Feeling like you are ‘losing your mind’ ---------------- There is No Damaging Psychological Collision During Panic Or Anxiety, Its impossible to Go Mad
## Feeling cold or hot ------------------------------------ This Actually Doesnt Scare Me At All, Hot and Cold are Just that.
## Trembling or shakiness – Only In My shoulders mainly --- This is Power being supplied to the muscles ... Not Actually Scary

-------------------------------
Stress can be explained for all of these
-------------------------------
## Headaches ---------------------------------- This is normal Stress
## Some Insomnia ------------------------------ This is normal Stress

Stress is caused by me fighting against my sensations which no longer scare me.

Only Two Fears to Go!

## Derealization - Grey Veil ... Behind Glass ------------- Just Imagine I'm Wearing Sunglasses
## Depersonalization Very Mild --- Disconnected from my arms and legs - Dont Know why this is

Derealisation and Depersonalisation are protection Systems to keep me from experiencing the other sensations that used to scare me,
If I practice accepting the harmless sensations I used to fear, then Derealisation and Depersonalisation will abate quickly

I'll Give it a go and let you know

I have darker vision in one eye. I thought I need glases but they found a brain tumor instead :(
It's probably a good sign that it's in both of your eyes. It's unusual to have brain tumors behind two optic nerves.
a have a brain tumor which is pressing on my optic nerve. I lost 50 % of vision because of that. I had surgery 2 weeks ago and will do radiation next ( to shrink the tumor since they could"t take it all out ). Not great if things like that happen to an anxious person. Just get it checked out. Mine is at least not cancer which makes me very glad.

Wanted to send my best wishes for a speedy recovery . . . for those of us with anxiety, your type of situation requires a great deal of inner strength and I so admire your capacity to endure your situation but still have the time and consideration to post in order to encourage another of your community to follow up . . . please let us know how your recovery is going when you feel up to it . . .take care, kc

Well that didn't last long.

I broke down a dinne time in front on my children.

My wife said she won't put up with behaviour like that for much longer.

Abspsolutely desperate.

Too scared to live.

Too scared to die

Hi,

At this point, my strongest recommendation is to seek outside medical advice and referral to a therapist to guide you. From your posting, you seem to need an outside objective point to help start your recovery.

Your wife may be concerned with the impact that you may be having on your children . . .they need their Dad but before that can happen he needs to find out what is going and his options. It seems as if you have been trying to manage this all on your own when it might be more beneficial for you to seek out professional guidance.

You can use all the strength that you have been using to seek help and then with professional guidance use that inner strength to recover . . . it will not be easy, I won't lie to you, at least it was not easy for me . . . and I still have issues . . . but it can be accomplished . . . .this is not a matter of being able to take care of something yourself . . . this is an issue of getting together all your options and picking the best path for you . . .

Please keep in touch . . . it is a dark time for you as it was for me and I dare say for many of us . . . .but because you know it is a dark time, there is also light because you do know that there is recovery . . . please keep in touch . . .take care, kc

p.s.  If your situation becomes too overwhelming, then go to your closest hospital . . . . that may jumpstart your journey to recovery . . .
