Sinus/Turbinate issue
« on: December 31, 2013, 06:42:16 PM »
Good Evening,

Happy New Years to all! My issue Im having is I been sick with a cold the last few days (Sneezing, yellow mucus ect) and I noticed I had a hard time breathing out my right nostril. 2 months ago, I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction, so I thought this would have helped, but it looks like my right turbinate is swollen. What medicine can I take to get over the cold? I took Afrin for 3 days which helped me breathe 100% better, but you cant use that long term, then eventually it swells up again to where I can barely breathe out that side. I also been doing saline rinses to clear the gunk out.

Using a neti pot with distilled water helps me tremendously.  Also, breathing in steam from a nice hot shower or cup of tea helps too.
