Swollen lymph node/ hoarse voice?
« on: December 30, 2013, 10:19:11 PM »
2 weeks ago I got a sore throat on the left side only (behind my left tonsil).
The soreness went away but left a lump in its place that will radiate a dull pain sometimes.
I can feel the lump on the outside of my neck, it feels like it moves around. My doctor said the gland is just swollen but I'm not sure if it's that or a nodule.

Anyways, my main problem is my voice has been hoarse ever since. It feels extremely vibratey when I talk. Especially using words like "that, it, or anything that has an AH type sound that causing the vocal cords to vibrate more.

It's stressing me out because my voice is my career and it needs to sound perfect but it doesn't now.
Is my hoarse voice because I have a swollen gland or lump?

It's been 2 weeks since this began.

I'm a 20 year old male.

I think with the sore throat and the swollen gland it will just take a little time for the hoarseness to go away.  Your throat was irritated and that's more than likely the cause for the hoarseness.  Keep drinking plenty of fluids and maybe even some tea with honey it as it's soothing!

I hope things get back to normal for you quickly!
