Mono & flu worries
« on: December 28, 2013, 09:30:34 PM »
I went to the dr twice this week and got diagnosed with mono. I went on the 24th and 26th and the waiting room was packed full of sick people. The nurse told me they were getting a lot of people with the flu, so of course now I am panicked thinking I will get the flu and if I get the flu on top of mono I will die. I am really worried about this and was wondering if anyone knows if I would have symptoms of the flu by now if I caught it the morning of the 26th? Thank you!

I had mono last christmas it is no fun..but as soon as I started antibiotics my throat cleared up I still had other symptoms and I do feel like my immune system isn't what it used to be. Before I had mono I was never sick, so it definitely affects your immune system I would recommend starting to take like airborn or emergen-c because mono takes a very long time to get over but I'm sure you will be fine just take it easy for a while.
