Left thumb twitch when hand at rest
« on: December 28, 2013, 12:15:54 PM »
I tried to ignore this, but it's really starting to concern me now.

My left thumb has been twitching, all day, every day for the last month now - it only happens at rest. When moving my hand it won't twitch.

It will twitch, on and off all day. After I fall asleep it seems to go away, but as soon as I wake, it's back at it again instantly.

Again, It's only my left thumb - this just doesn't sound normal to me...

Perhaps it's an injury to the thumb joint. But it's more likely that it's anxiety since it stops when you relax and when you move your thumb.

Anxiety makes my thumbs twitch so this might be the reason why yours twitch.

Hypochondria is like a shadow, always there. I used to do so much fun stuff without my anxiety and now I do so little with it :(

But it's only my left thumb - my right is fine.

Isn't that odd? I mean you'd think if it was anxiety both thumbs would do it, no?

Anxiety works in misterious ways. It's your mind. It expects it to be only in your left thumb so it happens only there.

I hope you're right...
