Tonight's just a really bad night.

Do meds (like Xanax) help with health anxiety?

I need to finally just make an appointment. I just wanna know if meds help at all.

I'm trying really hard to not freak out tonight. It's almost working. I'm sure these symptoms are just physical anxiety sensations, but I'm still worried and staying awake cuz I "don't wanna die in my sleep."

I feel so out of control lately. :(

Health anxiety is more thought based. You have a thought that you have an illness. Medication may help when you begin to panic at the thought at having an illness. But medication can't change how we think. You might be as good to see a therapist as well. A bit of CBT. Learn how to change your thoughts. From negative to positive thoughts. Medication is always only part of the answer. Therapy is another part. Hard work by us is the last part. To be honest the most important part is the hard work by us. To try and distract ourselves. To try and turn a thought around. But you learn this in therapy.
