Weird thing in vision?
« on: December 27, 2013, 09:54:39 AM »
So I had this for 4 days I think.. At first I didn't mind it but now it's still here.
and it's bugging me a bit..
whenever I squint and look anywhere bright (Sky, computer screen, etc)
I see this weird curved line on my left eye vision only when I squint or blink.
I have been to a doctor months ago before when GAD is attacking (different sympton)
but the doc said my eyes are normal
and that it is just because of anxiety. But I think what I have now is something new
so I am getting anxious again and searching on google only makes things worse :/
GAD is attacking me again these past few days because of the holiday season.
(ruined diet, late night sleeping, etc)
I am also wearing new contact lenses and it adds to my anxiety because
I get mild headaches when I wear contact lenses..

Please help me.. Any suggestions would be GREAT. Thank you all and Merry Christmas

Poor thing, they are called floaters! Completely normal, especially as you age. :) I have a bunch of them myself (I'm 32) but when I first got them it freaked me out. Good news is, eventually you stop seeing them as your brain adjusts, even if they are still around.

No no i know what floaters are.. Floaters are gray and all squiggly and follows your vision where it goes. I had one of those too.. But what I have now is just in one place and I only notice it when I look on my phone or computer etc i hope it goes away soon.

I have had floaters for as long as I can remember and they have never really bothered me even though I have many of them. I guess since I've always had them I'm just used to them.

However, for the past days I've been seeing a line in the center of my vision (left eye only), but I can only see it for a split second when I blink and I'm looking at something bright (like right now as I stare at my computer screen). It's a line in the shape of a smile.. It's freaking me out since it's not what I'm used to with floaters.

Anyone know if it could be something else? Why can I only see it when I blink or squint?

Thanks for reading and for any comments.
