Can you get malaria in England?
Thank you :) I'm worried because this thing landed on me and it looked a bit like a mosquito unless that's just my anxious mind and it left a bit of a Mark now I've suddenly started being stupid and wondering if I'm going to get malaria for Christmas.  Merry christmas everyone for tomorrow.

My understanding is that Malaria mostly occurs in South America and Africa and is extremely rare
in other parts of the world.

I live in Croatia (as a Brit, you should know where that is) and we get bitten by mosquitos like 10 times a night during the summer. Malaria! LOL ;D And you know, malaria is not really a major sickness these days in the developed west... Drink more schweppes bitter lemon or indian tonic water. They contain quinine which is a cure for malaria. ;D But don't do it if you're pregnant!
