So tired... Feels like I have no energy?
« on: December 23, 2013, 03:07:26 PM »
For the past two weeks it feels like I am always tired. I can sleep for 8 hours and still wake up with no energy.  I have been trying everything... I tried taking vitamins, sleeping with no lights on, taking Zoloft earlier.... It feels like I have to drag myself around all day. It's making me stressed because it feels like I'm dying. I also can't sleep without dreaming. I woke up today so tired I felt like crying. I don't really know what to do anymore...

Stress, anxiety and depression can cause fatigue. I would talk to your doctor.

The anxiety, depression, fatigue coaster is not a fun ride at all. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I was the same way a couple weeks go. I'm getting a lot more active now as I deal with the anxiety/depression.

This may be irrelevant but I thought I should mention, ive been seeing a lot of people getting infectious mononucleosis lately - it has symptoms that fits your description and the timeline very well. Of course, I study microbiology so I might be biased unintentionally, but I've heard these complaints rather a lot compared to previous years.

If it suddenly starts to go away for no real reason in the next week or so, that's probably what you have. In any case it requires no treatment at all, unless you have a compromised immune system. I just thought I should note this as a potential cause.

Oh my god! I never had the symptom of tiredness in all my years as a hypochondriac until last week!

I don't what it was but I definitely felt tired especially during the afternoon! Especially my arms. I also felt sleepy most of the afternoon. Usually a cold bath would energize me again but that's it.

There's also a cold circulating around in our place. Everybody including my family is getting the classical cold symptoms. I guess it's also keeping me down.

Worrying about this stuff only makes me feel even bad and tired!

Thank you guys for replying. I got bloodwork done yesterday for usual things connected to fatigue. (Mono, anemia, deficiencies, etc.) I guess I'll find out if it's HA or not. I think my anxiety is making it so much worse... It's one thing after another and I stress about it so much it makes it 10x worse.
