Jerking movements at rest?
« on: December 21, 2013, 05:19:50 PM »
I'm not sure if this has started happening because I've thought about it happening or if it's a common happening or if it's a symptom or what's going on, but I've noticed for the past couple days, when I lie down, like I'm going to sleep or even just resting, my leg will twitch. It's like a small jerking movement. If I concentrate on it, it goes away. It only happens when I'm not focused on it.

Does this happen to anyone else?

All the time! Myclonic jerks are very common, even in non anxious people. I could be sitting there and my ankle will just jerk. One time when I was laying in bed to fall asleep, my whole body jolted up like the exorcist!

I've also had an MRI and seen a Neuro, he said it is very very common.

I've always had them. Happens usually when I'm falling asleep but the movement can be quite violent!
