Anxiety and OCD - Anyone there?

Hi all,

I thought i would come on here to the general discussion board as no one seems to go much into the OCD discussion. I really wanna meet more people suffering from OCD and hear their stories and have a chat.

I have only just been diagnosed (professionally) with Obsessive compulsive disorder about a month ago and have been on medication for the OCD and anxiety attacks around the same time. The medication is slowly starting to make a difference in my everyday life and thinking. I usually get up all throughout the night to check all doors, stoves, garage doors, powerpoints, taps over and over again and the list goes on. For the first time the last two nights, i have slept all the way through, no more shakes in the morning from the medication!! This is just the start though my doctor says. I am starting to feel normal again and not out of it from the medication, although i hadn't had an anxiety attack for weeks, i had a pretty bad one on the weekend. I thought i was gonna have to go to the hospital it was that bad, i didn't know myself.

I would love to chat to  someone with the same issues as this is a bit new to me, i mean this whole scene.
