Multiple Sclerosis/Brain Tumour
« on: December 19, 2013, 06:57:17 AM »
It's been a worry of mine for a long time now. Having a serious illness..I'm only 16, but for the past 2 months or so my body has been randomally twitching. I get weird muscle spasms in my arm which are very visible and weird hip twitches, legs, arms, anything you can think of..I'm currently on Fluoxetine (Prozac) 20mg however i take one day on, one day off..What is this guys? I'm genuinely fed up.

Most twitches are normal and some are caused by stress. My daughter who is now 23, was in college at age 20, studying for final
exams. She developed this very horrible eye twitch that we could actually see and it hurt her sometimes and really bothered her.
Once the exams were over the twitch stopped.

Hi there,

MS doesn't present itself with muscle twitches. You would feel tingly down your spine when you bent your head, loss of vision (partial or total), lack of coordination and muscle weakness. I hope this brings you some relief as your symptoms are not consistent with MS ones! You probably just overused your muscles or are experiencing anxiety twitches (happens to my eyes all the time).

Hope this helps!!!!
