For nearly a month now I've been having some type of a rash, mostly on my thighs but also on my arms. It consists of little red spots and generally irritated skin (it's clearly sensitive when you touch it). It's not very itchy, although it does itch sometimes.  I have had skin problems in the past and even a rash close to this, but it's never been this bad before! The rash comes and goes, on Monday I had barely anything but now it's pretty bad again. I got it under control when I went 24-36 hours between showers, but yesterday I had to shower twice due to a special occasion and the spots showed up a couple of hours later.

I saw a specialist nurse last week and she said some of the spots I have are petechiae, just like I'd thought, but I just had blood work done in October and everything was fine, and she said I have so few of them that she didn't think they're anything to worry about. She said I have dry and sensitive skin and that I should avoid wearing clothes made out of wool, not take too many showers and that I should rub some basic moisturizing lotion and take antihistamine. I don't bruise any more easily than normal, I'm not exceptionally tired, my cuts don't bleed any more than normal, so she didn't think I even needed to see a doctor. But I'm still worried this is leukemia!

Has anyone else ever had anything similar?

Can anyone reply to this post? I'm having a similar problem - I have never had petechiae in my life before, but last week I got a rash from (I think) some detergent I used and broke out. A few days later, I developed petechiae (red blood spots under the skin) on my thighs, near to wear the rash was. Should I be concerned? I googled it (should NOT have done that) and got terrifying results. I was feeling meh about it until then. Could this be something serious? I don't have any other symptoms (that I know of)...
