New symptoms?
« on: December 12, 2013, 03:04:29 PM »
Hi!
I have extreme anxiety over my health and am currently trying to get better without meds. I feel like I make a few days progress then have symptoms for a few days. Ugh!
Has anyone ever had tingling or quivering? I am finding my lips quiver at times and sometimes my tongue feels funny and tingly. It comes different times.
Anyone experience this?

Hi Lam123...  Well you are sure not alone.  Yes, I have had the quivering lips, and noticed it more when I would smile.  I have also had times when the area around my mouth would tingle and feel numb (like your feet "falling asleep").  Mine came and went at different times, too.  Boy, if I had written down all the symptoms I have had, with anxiety...  The best to you, for trying to get a grip on this without meds!...  Chuck

Hi Lam123...  This all started for me some four years ago.  I tried serveral medication and ended up on Remeron, 30 mg.  Felt like my old self and didn't have any problems till about six months ago.  At that point I started having panic attacks again, and now the anxiety is back.  What happened is that the Remeron stopped working for me(it is the #1 anti-depressant known for that, "pooping-out").  I have just recently been started on Celexa.  I am also going to be doing CBT (therapy).  Only you can determine how severe your symptoms are, but if you think that things are bad enough to try medication, I'd be looking for a doctor that can give you that option, but that is up to you.  Best to you, Lam...  Chuck
