Hi Lynn...  Dizziness is a common symptom of anxiety.  I get the kind of dizziness where you are lightheaded (not vertigo where the room is spinning).  There are times it has gotten so bad, that I'd thought I was going to pass out, but I never have.  Often this is caused by hyperventilation, and, you may not even consciously realize you are hyperventilating.  You didn't indicate if you were having the dizziness before starting on the Lexapro.  It is my understanding that dizziness can be a side effect of Lexapro, as well.  So, it's kind of like which came first, the chicken or the egg, or hey, maybe both.  I hope that the Lexapro works for you, and hopefully this symptom will go away soon...  Chuck

I experience the dizziness like lightheaded, foggy out of it feeling.  I did have the dizziness before lexapro as well
(extreme anxiety and depression). I'm hoping the dizziness will fade in time on the lexapro but it's been 5 weeks now.
