Fear from reading other anxieties
« on: December 07, 2013, 05:53:57 PM »
I am a true hypochondriac!!!!!  I have a love hate relationship with this site. It's good to get help from or help other people. But I also find myself worrying about something on my body after reading about someone else's fear. I know it sounds soooooo crazyyy!

Now I'm wondering about underarm lumps. I have have them for years. They come and go all the time. First they pop up huge and with pain then the pain goes away and the size might go down but they stick around for a few extra days before actually disappearing. I'm convinced it's from my deodorant. I use the gel kind. I prefer it over the power because it lasts longer.

But does anyone know how to tell a cancerous lymph node right off the bat? I know they shouldn't hurt. But are there any other signs or symptoms of lymphoma. Right now I feel something that's movable but not painful yet. I'm not sure if I'm even grabbing a lump or just skin.

From what I understand, they're large (over 1 cm), not painful, hard, and immobile - and they stay that way. They don't shrink or go away or come and go - they just get bigger.

It sounds like you just have sensitive and reactive lymph nodes. Anything can set them off.

I know I'm gonna sound like an idiot but what equals cm in inches? Does 1cm =  half inch?

I guess I do have sensitive lymph nodes. Who knows.
