Dizziness when standing up-Please Help
« on: December 05, 2013, 08:40:31 PM »
Every time I stand up i get very dizzy...even when I do it slowly.  Blood pressure is fine.  Going crazy again!  Thinking tumor, bleeding somewhere, cancer somewhere...never stops.  Getting tired of constantly feeling like something is wrong.

Thanks for reading,
Rugger

Sometimes when I expect "symptoms" to happen, they do. Maybe that's what's going on? Does it happen even if you aren't thinking about it possibly happening?

Whenever I think about having a "lump in throat" feeling, I almost immediately get one, but if I don't think about it, it's never there. The mind is a powerful thing.

This happens to me all the time! Every time it happens, I just say "whoah, I stood up too fast" and wait for it to pass. My blood pressure is fine too, and I don't have any tumors or anything else. It just happens. I think it's pretty common cuz when it happens everyone else always says "I know what you're talking about" and laughs. I'm pretty sure it's just a normal reaction your body has from standing up quickly after you've been sitting for a while.

I think it's normal to get dizzy upon standing up too quickly. Try to get up more slowly and see if that helps. Good luck. :)

Sometimes it happens to me and sometimes it does not. I try not to let it bother me even though it does at times.

Very common in anxious people, even when you stand up slow. Are you tired? Getting enough vitamins and iron from your food?

OMG! I noticed this too!

This usually happens when I squat and then stand up quickly. I feel like there is a rush inside my head!

It's also common in "normal" people as well. As sufferers of anxiety, we just might be more sensitive to it.
