Hello everyone, sorry for posting another thread. Please bear with me.
As some of you may know, I had watery diarrhea 2 Sundays ago. This went on for 4 - 5 days before it improved a bit. Just when my stools were starting to form and my trips to the toilet were lessening, the watery episodes start coming back.
Basically I am on my 13th day of "diarrhea". In between those days, I had seemingly formed stools.
Yesterday, I went to have a stool test which came back clear. Two doctors said it was really nothing to worry about. That night, I went to the toilet only once and I thought that was already the end of it.
However, I woke up this morning and had some bouts of cramping which prompted me to have watery stools again. I went to the toilet today thrice already with watery stools.
I went to a different doctor today who was really really nice. I shared to her everything. She checked my stool exam and said it was completely normal. She did some quick tests on my tummy (she applied pressure, listened to it with a stethoscope, etc.) and said everything seemed normal.
So basically she said I might have caught something bad and my tummy is still recovering. If not, it all boils down to stress. She prescribed me omeprazole (for acidity) and some probiotics.
OF COURSE I DON'T BELIEVE THEM.
I keep on Googling about "chronic diarrhea".
I keep seeing that if my diarrhea lasts for more than 3 weeks, then something must be wrong. I am on my 13th day and I feel like I am just running out of time.
While the doctors were telling me some positive thoughts, I kept thinking "Oh please, that's not what Google said". I am so pathetic!
Has anybody here experienced weeks of loose bowel movements which turned out to be nothing serious?
