Hi, if any of you remember me, I just had a physical and it went a lot more smoothly than I expected (I expected to find out that I have many things wrong with me or some disease, so it's not hard for things to go better than I expected them to). I explained to the doctor that I have high anxiety during doctor's appointments (white coat syndrome) and my bp will be high and she understood.
Question: I have to get blood work done tomorrow, and I was just wondering if any of you know if it's okay to take lorazepam before? I have to fast for 8 hours before. I know I should have asked my doctor about this, but I totally forgot, and also she is very openly against lorazepam (which I got from my previous doctor) so I feel like no matter what she would have said no. I feel like I will probably be able to get it done without taking one if need be, but I would like to make the experience for myself less stressful if possible.
I just have to get my blood work done and go to an appointment for a follow up on it (which I think will be the most nerve wracking) and then if all goes well, hopefully I can really, truly believe my problems are/were anxiety related. I have been feeling much better lately, I went through months of chest pains/all kinds of other random pains that lasted a couple of second at a time but moved around all day pretty much everywhere on my body, followed by weeks of terrifying heart palps, and I have FINALLY been mostly symptom free for a few weeks . If my blood work comes back okay I think I will be able to relax :)
