Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here for awhile but have been dealing with a few new scares (fear of new dark pigment on my eyeball and abnormal oral cancer screening). I am trying to put those on the back burner for now and wouldn't you know, something new pops up. I have had an occasional tremor in one or more thumbs over the years. Like when picking up a coffee mug or holding a piece of paper. It was very random, and I didn't think too much of it. A couple years ago I had ALS fears because of twitching and during all of my self testing, I noticed that my tongue had a tremor when I would extend it. The neuro cleared me of ALS and didn't mention a thing about my tongue tremor. Since then, I have noticed that over time myy tongue has gradually gotten worse. If I move my tongue from a resting position, it constantly tremors; when I stick it out, touch the roof of my mouth, pull it back, etc, it will tremor alot. My lips have also developed a slight tremor when I smile or move and hold my lips in a different position. And in the last couple of weeks my hands have gotten much worse. It is no longer occasional. When I hold a utensil my thumb will lightly tremor and the fork will shake. My wrist seems to have a slight tremor or jerking movement when doing certain tasks or moving a certain way. Sometimes it feels like my hands or fingers are tremoring and when I look down, they are still. Like the tremor is inside. For the most part, all of these tremors thus far are positional or with purposeful movement. I am freaking out though and cant figure out what is going on. I need to make an apt with a neuro, but in the meantime I'm worried about MS, Parkinsons or a metastic brain tumor from a previous melanoma diagnosis.
Has anyone else had this kind and progressive tremor and it been normal?
