I'm a 25 year old male. I've been a stalker here for a few years but never posted before so it feels good to open up :)
I got a panic attack a few years back and had pretty severe anxiety problems ever since. I've felt all sorts of weird stuff, like heat patches randomly all over body, perceived weakness, pins and needles randomly for few seconds etc. etc. I of course, like any rational person would do
, chalked this up to Multiple Sclerosis or something worse - but I always waited for worsening symptoms before going to a neurologist because after reading stuff here and on other sides both regarding anxiety and MS the symptoms didn't quite seem like MS.
3 months ago I got a symptom all of a sudden after a long very anxious night that terrified me which can be described as "constant feeling of having to pee". When I pee, soon after I again have the feeling I have to pee but I can't. In medical terms it's something called urinary urgency or frequency I found out, and that really put a scare in me. So I went to both a general doctor who prescribed me strong antibiotics to clear up a possible UTI, and a neurologist who assured me after taking my medical history, testing me in all sorts of ways (taking an MRI included) that he did not find me to have a neurological problem.
The antibiotics didn't help and the neurologist didn't prescribe me anything, so now, three months later, I still got that feeling, and I'm just wondering if anyone else can relate? Is this a possible symptom of anxiety? I found something online called Interstitial cystitis which describes itself somewhat similar to my symptoms but still not completely. I'm still kind of hoping it's related to stress/anxiety causing bladder muscles to contract and will abate at some point on it's own.
