Think of it like this,
If a nuclear reactor was about to blow, what should you do?
If a car engine was over-revving and over-heating - what should you do?
If a camel's back was about to break - what should you do?
If your mind was overloading - what should you do?
You see what's happened is you've burnt your brain, you've overloaded it, you've over-taxed it. Somehow it's overheated and is now it isn't working properly - you're noticing that and, with good reason, you don't like what you're seeing - but don't worry, with rest and relaxation it is more than capable of repairing itself.
But how have you managed to overheat it? By incessant thinking and never giving it a rest.
So, what is the cure? - to rest it, to allow it to cool down and reset itself.
And how do we do that (and avoid it happening again)? - We get to know and understand it, learn its limits and learn how to look after it better.
But it's not resetting - what is stopping it resetting
? - EXCESSIVE MENTAL ACTIVITY - the brain can only do so much, but worrying, searching for an answer, refusing to go with the flow of things as they are now (which is totally understandable these sensations are frickin weird!!), mental agitation, anxious thoughts, etc. , etc. is keeping it and breaking point, at the point of mal-function.
You need to see, to understand that you are doing the opposite of what is required - you need to switch that engine off, turn down the reactor, and allow it to cool down, but instead you are putting more straw on the camels back.
Worrying, thinking, non-acceptance, impatience, etc., etc. is all creating an enormous amount of mental activity, which is keeping the burners on full and whilst all that is happening your poor brain has NO CHANCE of cooling down and recovering and I'm sorry to say it, but all this is doing is perpetuating this nightmare.
You brain is showing signs of overloading, you are seeing these signs and trying like crazy to figure a way out and all that is doing is taxing your worn out mind even further and all that is doing is overloading your brain, which is showing signs of overloading, which you are seeing and trying like crazy to figure a way out and all that is doing is taxing your worn out mind....................
