The last few weeks I've had a kind of swollen burning tongue. Ever since I had parotitis a few months ago, my mouth has been dry, which I think has been causing me to kind of slur my words, although I'm the only one who can hear it. Anyways, I was so scared of bulbar ALS and refused to do any more Googling. It just freaks me out more. Well, this morning I'm online and there's a ribbon advertisement at the top of the screen for Amalyoidosis. Of course what did I do? Googled it to see what it was. And what is it? A fatal disease that can cause an enlarged, burning tongue, among other symptoms. Well, my brain grabbed that one up and ran for the hills. I've now gone into full HA mode again. I guess on a good note, I'm not so worried about ALS anymore. Ugh! And I've been doing so good with staying away from Google and diagnosing myself.
