Before I start, let me just point out that back in April and May, I was 100% ok. I was a normal person, going to concerts, gym, playing ice hockey
Back in June, I suffered some form of neck injury (neck strain) on a road trip.. Went to doctors, they saw it and sent me to physical therapy. Every since PT, I have been a wreck. About 1 week into it, I've felt nothing but dizziness and lightheadedness all day, especially when sitting in chairs (something I've never experienced). Went to the doctors to have blood drawn and they kept asking me to come back. Found out I had Hepatitis B....however, doctor assured me all was well and this was not a "death sentence" for me and I can live my normal life. He said "I've never had to bury anyone from this"
Since then, my lightheadedness has not gone away and it makes me feel like I'm swaying all the time and I've experienced other symptoms, which make me believe there is another issue, though both my father and doctor have said this is anxiety (doctor prescribed me Paxil which I refuse to take because I've never had to). Here are my symptoms (which have developed over the past 3 weeks):
-Constant high pitched noise in right ear
-One night it felt like my ear was going to shut on me
-Loss of Balance when sitting on chairs, feels like I'm going to fall off or fall forward (This is most debilitating one as I can't get out and do normal stuff)
-Feeling like I'm dying, makes me scared and keeps me up
-Stomach gurgling all night
-Spasms in my calfs
-Weight Loss even thought I'm eating 3 meals a day (and sometimes some snacks) -- 20lbs since August.
-My right side feels weaker than my left side
-The other night I was experiencing light flashes in head and jolts, keeping me up.
-Increased noise disturbs sleep (Had to go spend the nights at my father's to get away from noises in my area)
-Heavy breathing at times (thought this has decreased)
-Tiny stools instead of large solid ones
-Frequent urination at night -- seems to have subsided when staying at my dads
-Left eye twitches at times
-Want to be with friends but can't get out due to my symptoms -- when I do, I can only stay so long due to the balance issue
-Afraid to drive at night now
-Cannot achieve an erection (Being serious)
-Obsessively checking my symptoms online
-Thought my stomach was going to explode last night.
-Keep thinking I'm going to pass out and have a seizure
-Right hand feels like it keeps clamming up on me
So far I have thought I have had:
What have I done:
-Been to regular MD, everything checked out fine except the Hep B
-Been to a neurologist, brain MRI was normal as of 3 months ago. No tumors or cysts in the brain
-Been to an ENT for the balance who has said that results were not sufficient to find any issues and want to send me to a fancier place for more testing
-Getting a root canal done on a tooth
-Had an MRI done on a lump in my back.... it was just a fatty cyst, won't need to be concerned about it
-Been working from home every day (took some time off a couple of days in hopes I would heal).
Is this some form of panic disorder I'm going through? Why all of the sudden like this? Should I take the Paxil the doctor prescribed me? I'm seriously worried about the side effects once I start them.
