I have had an on and off again worry about having a heart attack for about 2 years. Well last year, I was so fed up with it, that I finally went to Urgent Care and had an ECG and blood work done. And everything came back normal. The doctor said that it was my anxiety, and that everything was fine. So fast forward to today, this morning when I woke up I was fine. And then about 2 hours later, I had the weird feeling in my throat like you have to cough. Almost like that tickle, but not. I know that makes no sense, but it's hard to explain. Then while I was at work, I had a somewhat gradual feeling of pain in the right side of my chest, kind of where the ribs meet the sternum. And it also is happening on the left side, directly across from where the right side is.
Actually, it almost feels like a bubble is in there and is going to pop, but isn't going away. It feels better now that I'm done with work and sitting down at home. Anyway, I'm just really worried it's a heart attack, or even a heart condition that I don't know about. I'm only 20 years old.
And I should also mention that I have some pretty bad eating habits. I have worked at a fast food restaurant for 5 years now, and I have eaten that stuff for about that amount of time. Now I don't eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I eat it whenever I work which is about 5 days a week. And when I get home, I eat bad there too. I told the doctor that did the ECG on me about that, and he said that if I were in my 30s, that the plaque is more likely to build up. But since I'm younger, that it really isn't terrible, but not to continually eat like that for another 10 years. How long does it take for arteries to clog by the way if I may ask.
