How often do your panic attacks strike?

I am curious about how often people have their panic attacks. Mine usually come on about 2-3 times a year. Anyhow, enjoy the poll and please feel free to comment on what your attacks are like, how long they last and so on :)

My attacks happen everyday and last for quite a while. Mabey for about hours at a time. It makes frequent headaches.

Hello,
I'm trying to understand my panic attacks. I have wrestled with these demons all my life.  Sometimes they appear weekly, sometimes they disappear for months.  I am fearless most of the time, and I have done things that would terrify most people, but when panic demons visit, I hide from everything.
I thought I could find a pattern by keeping a log, but I can't find one.  The task/obligation/situation/people that terrify me one moment, don't bother me the next.  Sometimes these attacks last for hours or rarely days.
I hope to find a clue to releasing these demons in this forum.

Mine act up at least once a month. As a matter of fact I started to have one today but took a Xanax and it has calmed down a lot now. Man, I hate these things .

How do you know when youre having a panic attack, ore do you just know?

mine happen every time i got to drive far or try to go hunting it makes it hard to live and have fun with my son who hunted for the first time this year and i miss alot of work cuz when we work far from home i cant make it

I have a low level of anxiety almost all the time and points of great anxiety that can lead to a bad attack if I do not take steps to stop it or "try". But, the severe panic attack (the out of body kind, that are horrid) is only once in a great while.  :cool:

For a while now I have read messages off the board but never spoke out. I suffer from panic attacks three times if more every day. Im glad to see that im not alone. I think now ill introduce myself.

My attacks strike a couple times a week depending on my surroundings. I have to work from home so when the time comes to leave the house I guess you can say, "Panic"

two years ago it was at least 5 times a day.. now I can say once or twice a week: )

as for me id say i have them about twice a month...i know its hard but atleast we all now know that we are not alone

there was a time when I had them a couple of times a day. I have not had one for two years now.

simplifying my life, meds and behaviour therapy is the key for me. I still have trouble with anxiety daily...but not to the extreme as before and it sure is nice to be panic free even when major crap is happening!
