Well since March of this year I have been to the doctor, dentist, and ER more than probably some would go in their entire lifetime!
I have had everything, or should I say I have thought
I had everything from infected cat scratches (we have 5 very playful fully clawed cats), to DVT. Well my latest is, of all things, pimples!
Yeppers, I am seriously freaking out over the pimples all over my face and chest and inside my nose that I just developed over the summer. I never had a problem like this before. I always have a pimple or two somewhere on my face but this is a bad breakout and I changed nothing in my skin care or in my diet or in my envirnoment.
I have been to 5 doctors - my family doctor, my ENT, and 3 dermatologists and each one said something different. I have been told I have: rosacea, adult acne (I am 45 and in perimenopause), and sub derm skin condition. I don't know if I should be using my rosacea cream or my adult acne cream or my sub derm cream so I alternate and my skin looks a teeny bit better. Oh and my ENT tested me for staph, at my request, and it was negative. I get these teeny white spots inside my nostrils that HURT and he said they were just pimples. I never had pimples this often inside my nose before so I freaked thinking it must be staph. He gave me Bactroban to use whenever I get one and I get them every other day so I am using a lot of the Bactroban.
So now I have a new pimple on the rim of one of my nostrils that hurts terribly! I am freaking out thinking it must be a cyst or a boil or something really bad and maybe I should just go to the ER and beg them to admit me 'just in case' it is MRSA.
My husband is burned out.
Am I losing it? Does anyone else ever worry about pimples?
Thanks for reading. :)
