I am trying really hard to stay sensible and not spin out of control, but is is getting harder.
I am experiencing the EXACT same problems that I had last August (can HA symptoms be seasonal?).
Basically, my problems start out with a reoccurring pain that I have in my upper right abdomen (2 inches to the right and 2 inches above my belly button). I have had this pain on/off for 10 years. The pain is not excruciating but if I poke and prod it it can start to feel bruised and tender. Talked to Drs but never get an answer.
Now, over the past month I have that weird stomach pain again.
Then for the last two weeks I have had annoying mid/upper back pain. Then out of nowhere I start coughing, particularly in the morning (pretty bad some days). I do not have a cold or anything, but an annoying tickling in my throat.
This is where my HA mind is trying to take me: carcinoid tumor and/or lung cancer.
The disturbing thing is that the abdomen pain, back pain and cough all happened last year too - at this exact same time of year. I was a mess for 4-5 months. I had a chest xray and abdominal US and all was clear (did have a hemangioma). At the time, I accepted the results and did not pursue any further testing. I was feeling pretty good from Jan-August (occasional stomach pain, but ignored it, no back pain or cough), but now that everything is back in full force - I am a mess.
Should I be worried that ALL these symptoms are back again? Am I being ignorant trying not to find out what is going on in my body? I am 0669 by not getting further testing? When do you know it is real and not HA?
I am desperately feeling the need for a chest x-ray!
