Hello there. :)
My own panic disorder used to be HORRIBLE - I remember I had several attacks a day and I was rendered basically disabled. I've recovered quite a bit. Right now I'm reading and learning about mindfulness. Learning about how your mind works helps - recognizing patterns in your thoughts and feelings, recognizing physical sensations.
Self talk helped me. :) When I feel a panic attack coming now, I tell myself "This is your choice. This is your body, your mind. You don't have to panic. This is just a thought. This is just a feeling. It can't hurt me. I can't be hurt by this."
Try breathing from your diaphragm.
