anxiety healing starts now for me
« on: August 17, 2013, 08:32:05 PM »
I got "When panic attacks" by David D. Burns, M.D. and "The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook" by Edmund J. Bourne, PHD so I hope these will help my irrational anxiety until my dad can get me into therapy. and I started to read the book by David D. Burns, M.D. and I am already feeling better!!!!! I am so exited to read the whole book for I think by then that my anxiety will be gone but if not I have another book for backup.

I wish you the best of luck in your healing process. Please let me know if the book(s) help. I am willing to try anything that might help to control my anxiety. :)

books seem to be some help but the rest that they don't cover will be covered by herbs that i will get soon in a local herb shop for my anxiety... I don't know what type yet because that will be determined by a professional.

Another good book is Hope and Help for your Nerves, by Claire Weeks.  It is an older book but has helped many people with anxiety.  it is like she is sitting in the room talking to you.  I have also read the 2 books that you are reading and thought they helped also.

Take Care

When Panic Attacks has been really helpful for me. I've renewed it 3 times at the library. I should just buy it already  lol

That is the full title. The author is David D. Burns MD. It's a popular book that should come up easily if you search Amazon or your local library.
