First of all, thanks for reading this. I have been going through a very difficult time the past few weeks and it has been hard to face it alone..
Since the last two months, I gave had mild numbness and tingling along with throbbing headaches and fogginess. There was also mild fatigue. I tried to ignore the feeling but finally saw the doctor who suggested getting a brain MRI. The report was normal, so based on symptomatic evidence only,he diagnosed me with vitamin B12 deficiency. Taking the supplements didn't really improve the numbness or tingling but did get rid of the headaches eventually. A couple of weeks back, I started having mild arm pain and general body fatigue. I would feel loss of balance too at times. The doctor suggested a c spine MRI which was normal except loss of lordosis, which he suggested might be due to poor posture. Following this, a couple of days later, I started having extremely intense burning pains in both arms. They feel very sensitive to touch. The doctor ordered a nerve conduction test which came back normal too. The pain is so strong that I am not able to sleep at night I also experience sensitivity to cold, and warmth at elbow joints. At times I get a feeling like I have hit my funny bone. The muscle fatigue in my arms is overwhelming, whereas the burning sensation increases and decreases through the day. Day to day tasks have become tough, such as brushing my hair or talking on the phone. I have not able to work this past week.. I am so worried and have had some anxiety this year after a close one passed away from cancer, but not sure if it would cause physical symptoms.
Adding to this, I have started experiencing twitching (not very frequent, but all over) and my arm pain is radiating to my shoulders. The doctor won't let me get any other tests (thyroid, blood count and blood glucose levels normal), such as EMG, till my symptoms show the need. He says it's just anxiety, though I'm not sure if anxiety might manifest in such strong physical symptoms. I'm very scared and am feeling very alone right now
I came across this forum a few days ago and was wondering if anyone might be able to help?
