This foot pain will be the death of me
« on: May 11, 2013, 07:51:48 AM »
Hello everyone, sorry for posting again.

For the past 6 months I've been ignoring this on and off foot pain (usually the left) because of other "bigger" HA problems.
Now that my other problems have gone, I am now focused on my foot.

Basically, I've been having this occasional foot pain especially when I lie down or rest. Pain is a bit sore when I rest, usually near the toes. I really can't describe the pain. It's not stabbing or throbbing, just a sore sensation.

This doesn't happen always. I get it probably twice or thrice a week on average.

Again, it usually happens when I rest.

Also, strange thing is that sometimes when I wake up from sleep and I walk, I get this sort of pain on my left heel. It stays there for like 10 - 20 steps then disappears.

For the past two years, I've been walking a lot. My footwear isn't exactly excellent. I'm a bit overweight but I'm working on it as well.

No visible swelling or random numbing pain on both feet.

Ack, I feel that this might be some DVT, nerve problem, or circulation problem.  :traurig001:

Hey there!

Did you ever figure this out / get beyond this?  I've been struggling with what sounds like EXACTLY the same thing!

Let me know, I'd love to hear from you.

My husband and I both get pain on the right side of our right foot during the night. It's bad enough to wake us.  I looked it up and it was related to a simple muscle spasm but did say to be sure to be well hydrated.  Another cause was the bed sheets or blankets being tight and causing the toes to be pushed into a ballerina 'pose'.  Nothing I found was worrisome.

Sounds muscular related. If you had a DVT, odds are it would be swollen and throbbing.

Please invest in a pair of good shoes. I've fat myself and never wear cheap shoes. Getting good supportive shoes are worth it. I had a problem with my  the tendon in my left foot and ended up getting orthotics. The tendon pain is almost completely gone and my back went from chronic pain to occasional. If you walk a lot get good walking shoes.

Good shoes really make the difference.
