Got finger smashed at work

I got my finger smashed from the center middle finger to the tip. Bruised swollen huge feels like a balloon painful. I was trying to go to bed last night and it was like when I would rest my hand I would get the feeling like... It was trying to heal,like the itchy feeling, the feeling as if you'd rub it lightly and the painful area would sort of tickle. But I'd like feel it in my whole arm and it woul happen everytime I would close my eyes. Then eventually I fell asleep.

Then woke up at 6 with Dam migraine again left side head.

Yeah that sucks, I totally understand how you feel.  I played basketball one time and jammed my finger on the ball.  I had a small fracture and they gave me a splint.  You probably don't need surgery, you probably just fractured it at worse.  Mine puffed up the same way you are describing yours.  I really wouldn't be too concerned with it, but I would pay the doctor a visit just to get it checked out.  You probably just bruised it really bad or fractured it at worse.  It will heal on its own.

It may be infected if you didn't clean it, it's nothing serious but just go to the doctor's if it gets any worse.

My husband closed his in a big bay door at his work. It brusied all the way around and the whole fingernail turned pitch black. It took MONTHS but the nail finally fell off and grew back.

Ouch!  Maybe you pissed off a nerve, hence the whole-arm feeling.  Ice it, and see what happens.  If it doesn't improve at all in a few days, maybe see a doctor in case it's broken.  Broken fingers, not even that big a deal, just an annoying splint for a few weeks.

I was going to say the same thing as molly, it sounds like you've irritated a nerve. it might be worth getting it checked at the docs just to make sure you haven't broken it as it may need splinting.
