REALLY BAD rabies fear
« on: March 23, 2013, 01:42:59 AM »
I'm having really bad rabies fear right now and I have a headache possibly from staying up late like I usually do when I don't have school and I was wondering if dead racoons spread rabies and if you got the dead rabies virus inside of you if it would cause rabies... I hate my rabies fear and I've had lots of "possible transmissions" and I know that my fear is irrational but it's something to fear with the recent man who died from getting an organ from another human that was rabid. also it's a sad and painful disease, and slow! I just don't know if I'm fearing this now how I'm goig to be gone for a week and survive the outdoors for aschool activity  :traurig001: I hate my irrational rabies fear, my HA, and my other health HA fears. My fear is really bad and I need some tips on how to not freek out while outdoors aka irrational rabies fear , oh and as a side note I have a sore throat and I don't know the source, but I think it is nasal drainage.

to get rabies an infected animal's saliva needs to get into your bloodstream through a bite. You can't catch it from dead animals as they can't bite you. However, it's always a good idea to stay away from dead animals anyway.

:traurig001: my stupid dad and one one of the neighbors shoot racoons with air rifles and it dosen't kill them and where they end up is coincidentally where I like to be, outdoors, particularlly in the woods or near Evergreen tree that I like to be in. I've heard that where I live there is "no" rabies according to the local newspaper.  grrrrrrr my right hand is tingling and I think it's from typing (well know) and the weird part is after I got these cuts that were making my HA so bad some 3 months ago they ould tingle randomally and i remember that even more recentally that hand would twitch really badly or something along those lines. sorry if I keep posting about this fear but if it has irrational in front of it then it's bound to happen again and again! I hate being home alone in the night because of the noises (not many, other than the loud cracks that our fridge make) but i also love it because I can stay up until I hear my dad's car coming down the driveway  :happy0151:

grrrrrrr. I hate this and also hate that I have so much to do tommorow, I wish I could  bring my bike and tools inside and finish my work on my bike  :P have homework but not too much and am bored, have ahard time sleeping when i know that I'm alone. that's why I want a protective pet like a dog so that if a bad person were to come into the house or something I'd be able to wakeup when it barks... but all I have as pets that i'll keep until theydie are pillbugs which have colorful stomachs and more little colorful pillbugs are crawling around everywhere, adult's might cringe or squash pillbugs but to me they're a pet and a science experiment  :laugh3: oh not to mention but it's about 12:20 Am where I live and I don't have boring school tommorow.

Sounds like you're really aware that there's no reality to your fears and that they're products of anxiety, which is really good :)  I'm sorry you're still having anxiety but that's a great step towards getting over it.

yep, I'm still on the mend :) I plan on getting rid of it, but it's only temporary... irrational rabies fear. MY ANXIETY SHOULD GO TO HELL WHERE IT BELONGS. rabies isn't my only fear I have a few more but most of those I can avoid entirly.  :happy0151:
