Hi, new to AZ, not new to anxiety

Well, figured I'd post a brief intro.  I have suffered from anxiety for some time and as a result of quite a few big events in my life coupled with illness all in a relatively short period of time my anxiety has significantly increased more than ever.  I have recently started finally trying to reach out and get help.  I have mentioned anxiety to my doctor, but no meds yet because we first wanted to rule out possible physiological causes such as a heart issue, thyroids, hormones etc.  So far all my medical tests are coming back normal so its looking like a lot of my issues are indeed anxiety related. Anyway, like I say I'm starting to reach out for help with this on a number of fronts and being here at AZ is one of those fronts that will hopefully help me and others with their anxiety and related issues.  It's a bit nerve wracking just to post but I need to quit isolating myself.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.
