tooth pain from chipped tooth

chipped my tooth and it aches a lot and when I brush it it makes it ache a little worse and at the top near the top of my tooth it dosen't hurt but at the bottom is where it aches and I was wondering if I need to go to a dentists if I can feel sensitivity because of the chip I feeel pretty bad sensitivity to hot food but I don't think cold,

Well, yes?  Of course you need to get it looked at.  If you leave it, it could crack further or get infected.  In fact, it might be internally cracked now, which is why you are feeling the pain at the bottom of the tooth.  I doubt it's going to get better on its own.

Definitely see a dentist.  If you're having tooth pain that you know is from the tooth, you need to see a dentist.  It's not catastrophic obviously but I would see one soon in case there's damage that can't be seen.
