Need a level head because I don't have one right now
« on: March 22, 2013, 05:03:19 PM »
Yesterday I was convinced I was having a stroke (they run in my family for much older people). I had this pressure in the back right side of my head. Like the size of a fist and doesn't hurt just like pressure and if it was the FRONT of my head could have convinced myself it was just sinus pressure. I've been under a TON of stress lately finanically and with trying to move etc. btw. Anyway, I have this pressure for hours and then it starts to scare me  and my son has a eye doctor appt. I couldnt' take him!  :traurig001: I had to call and cancel last minute. I felt like my legs were jello and and my whole body got weak and I felt confused and off balance.
As many MAJOR diseases as i've had over the years, I couldn't shake this to anxiety :(

Anyway, today I felt better but had to go out to get my paycheck and pay a bill. I DID make it to my work to get my check but by the time I left I had the pressure again and went into full blown panic. Same as yesterday. Legs felt rubbery, whole body weakness and confused/nervous. I hightailed it home.

Is this really anxiety or do I have a brain tumor or hemmorage or something???

I'd probably be having the same symptoms as you if I had financial worries and was moving on top of that!

Instead of giving in to your anxiety, next time there is an appointment or somewhere you need to ..... even if you have weak, rubbery, legs., etc. tell yourself that this is anxiety and you're NOT going to let it get the best of you.  Get in the car and put your foot on the gas pedal and go.  Get up and get walking.  I will bet that it will help alleviate some of the symptoms or at least make them less suspicious, plus give you alot more power over your anxiety.

Definitely sounds like anxiety; I've been having similar symptoms lately.

with all that stress it's hardly surprising that you're suffering. It certainly sounds like anxiety and not a stroke. If you had a stroke you'd know all about it.

I've had lots of head pressure in various points. common with anxiety/stress. If you are concerned about a stroke ask your doctor about preventative measures. All strokes in theory are preventable.
