Waiting for biopsy results...so scary!!

I had a 1mm grayish dot on my lower lip. I saw two deems who said they were not concerned. Anyway I kept obsessing b/c I see it every day. I went to the deem again, saw a third dr who took it off. She said she thinks it's just a freckle or lentigo, but she said peace of mind us valuable and that she could tell I need peace of mind. I have to wait a week or two for results. I'm hating the wait, yet dreading the call b/c I just have a feeling it's melanoma and I read terrifying things about melanoma that occurs on mucous membranes. I have an infant and a toddler...thinking that they will grow up without their mommy breaks my heart. My toddler needs mama to tuck her in every night...I don't want my babies to go through this. I'm scared!!! Any words of encouragement and prayers would be so appreciated!

Three doctors who specialize in skin were unconcerned.  It's very, very unlikely to be anything serious.

Yeah, that is what my hubby keeps saying. I just have a bad feeling. But then again, hypochondriacs always have a bad feeling...

Did this derm know that you had seen 2 others? If so, I am certain that it was taken off to stop your worrying.

I've had that bad feeling before.  It's never turned out to be what I was fearing :)

you'll be fine, you had several dermatologists say it's OK. And I'm always getting bad feelings about things, rarely are they right :)

Thank you, my friends! Yes, I told her I had seen two other derms. She mentioned that peace of mind is valuable. I recently learned that the word worry comes from an old English word that means "to strangle." Yep...couldn't define it better myself! I'm trying my best to trust in The Lord and not lean on my own understanding. Thank you, everyone! I will update when I get the results! Until then, I am trying to push it out of my mind! :)
