Burning Tongue - Honey
« on: March 20, 2013, 05:47:47 PM »
So I've eaten honey many times in my life, but I ate some last night and again today and both times my tongue felt really tingly and burned, and the back of my throat also. Has anyone else ever had this happen? I have had a fear of anaphylaxis for a long time, and I'm always afraid I'm going to be allergic to foods, but this came out of nowhere and I wasn't even thinking about food allergies until it happened. Now I'm super scared that I'm having an allergic reaction to the honey. I have an EpiPen if I need to use it, but so far I haven't had any other symptoms but the burning mouth and throat. If anyone else has ever experienced something like this let me know. I'm so anxious!  :(
